With promises of a great streak-free performance when wet and get dusting power when dry, the 2015 Twist and Shout Mop is an interesting looking option. The product description for this supposedly clever and convenient mop states that it is the #1 top rated and best seller on Amazon; to be more accurate, it has since slipped to #2 in the mopping supplies rankings but a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from over 2000 customers is still pretty impressive.
This wet and dry Twist and Shout mop offers a strong performance with a user-friendly design.
A mop that can handle cleaning tasks both wet and dry is desirable but the crucial factor for many consumers is the ease of wringing it out to transition from one purpose to the next. This deceptively simplistic looking mop is a self-wringing model that requires little more than the push of a button on the handle to spin itself dry and the head is made from a “super absorbent” microfiber that is said to be 3x more absorbent than cotton and even machine washable. For the most part, buyers have very few complaints about the mechanisms of the spinning/wringing out and the results of the clean. The head does seem to be as absorbent as claimed - although some wish it was a little bigger - and the system is pretty quick and convenient. This does lessen with repeated actions over large areas, with users suggesting that this mop is better on small kitchen floors than anything commercial, and stubborn spills still require some elbow grease.
A fast action and great clean are a must but there are plenty of features being highlighted in the specification that focus on user-friendly aspects of its use - the ease of transportation and lack of effort for example. This “new and improved” model has an extra 6” on the handle to reduce the need to bend over and a lightweight bucket. These extra inches have been appreciated by users familiar with the older model who say it makes a big difference. The only real downside with this handle is the fact that even though the manufacturers claim to have made the product stronger, it still feels a little thin and flimsy to some. Care has also been taken to ensure that a clean floor stays clean and dry with the inclusion of an anti-splash guard on the bucket and minimal parts to the mop to reduce leaks. The former was a concern for some users but after rigorous tests the floors - and the testers - stayed dry.
The 2015 improvements have ensured that the Twist and Shout self-ringing mop is still a helpful and effective cleaning aid.
Overall it seems that a fair amount of thought has gone into the creation of this new 2015 model of the Twist Shout Mop and it is easy to see why the consumer satisfaction ratings remain so high. You will still have to put some effort into the tougher problems and some do feel it can be a little time-consuming but the changes made have mostly been worthwhile and buyers are getting great results with this well-designed head, handy bucket and the clever mechanisms.
