If you’re looking for a replacement high-pressure pump, you have quite a few options. The first thing you need to know is if the pump will fit onto your existing electric motor or gas engine. The Universal 3000 PSI pressure washer pump is designed to fit most pressure washers with a 3/4″ horizontal shaft and an engine producing up to 6.5 HP. This includes popular brands like Honda, Husqvarna, Karcher, Briggs & Stratton and Generac, to name but a few. You won’t need an adapter, any shims, or washers. It will bolt directly onto the engine as long as it is compatible. I’d suggest making sure that this is the case before buying one. Chances are, it’s going to fit, there’s a long list of known brand pressure washers for which this pump is compatible.
The Universal pressure pump is most likely going to be a much better replacement than the original pump that was fitted to your pressure washer when you bought it. So if you have a pressure washer that is no longer delivering the water flow and/or pressure that it should, buying a Universal pressure pump is a worthy investment. There’s no need to throw away an otherwise perfect pressure washer simply because the pump is no longer performing as it should. By spending less than replacing the entire machine, you can have an upgraded pressure washer simply by purchasing a replacement pump.

This pump is reasonably priced and has the industrial-grade components to keep it functioning perfectly for many years to come. The brass head is supreme quality and it will produce 3000 Psi pressure and a maximum water flow of 2.4 GPM, provide you’re using an engine that can deliver the power needed. The pressure control valve is just as impressive, you can see the high-grade spring that they’ve used. It’s exposed and chrome plated which gives the pump a seriously industrial look. Though I mostly like that you can see the high-grade materials and it makes for much easier repairs and maintenance. To make it a very usable pressure washer replacement pump, it’s fitted with a chemical injection system for detergents and a very reliable thermal relief valve. The pump is filled with oil when it arrives, so you can get to work immediately after fitting it.
It’s also super easy to install and use. It shouldn’t take you more than 15-minutes to fit the pump to your existing engine. The flange fits directly onto it and you just need to tighten the bolts. The solid brass hose fittings are amongst the best and it has a swivel inlet for the garden hose with a mesh filter to prevent debris from damaging the pump. It’s not at all heavy for an industrial-grade high-pressure pump and it’s compact enough to fit into just about any existing frame or housing. It weighs 6.5-pounds and measures 8” X 8” X 8”.
I’ve seen a lot of replacement pressure pumps that claim to be industrial-grade equipment, though few are actually of the standard that I’d expect them to be. This is what draws me to the Universal. You just need to look at it to see that it’s built to work hard. There are no plastic molded parts to make it look cool. It’s robust and functional – not pretty. Whether you need a replacement pump because your existing pump has given up the ghost, or simply want to upgrade to a better pump, I can highly recommend the Universal. It’s not the cheapest, but is still very reasonably priced. For only a few dollars more, you’ll be getting a replacement pressure pump that’s going to outlast and outperform most others
