Pros of the Hoover Model CH3000 Commercial Vacuum Cleaner
The unit weighs around thirteen pounds. It is even more convenient to use if you can stand in one place and swap out attachments as you clean a seating area.

Cons of the Hoover Model CH3000 Commercial Vacuum Cleaner

The vacuum has poor performance on carpet.
The Portapower vacuum doesn’t do a good job picking up pet hair.
Observations
The list price of this vacuum cleaner is around $250, but you can sometimes find it on sale for half that price. A carrying bag for the vacuum and its accessories is extra but costs around twenty dollars.
The Hoover Portapower uses reusable cloth bags in place of a dust cup or paper bag. Replacement cloth bags used in place of vacuum bags cost ten to fifteen dollars each. This type of vacuum bag is popular because you don’t have to throw them away after they are full, but emptying them can aggravate asthma far more than self-sealing bags you discard. And washing them is a hassle, since you have to manually empty the vacuum bag before washing it several times to get it clean. A downside of the reusable bags is the fact that the vacuum’s suction goes down when they get clogged far more than paper bags, while being harder to wash than a washable filter. If the vacuum takes in a wet-dry mix like chicken noodle soup or vomit, it is better to simply throw the vacuum bag out. If you don’t have a spare cloth bag or paper bag alternative, this vacuum is out of commission.
Conversely, the fact that you can use Hoover paper bags on this vacuum allows you to use it when your asthma or allergies might be aggravated by emptying the reusable bag or really don’t want to deal with washing a bag after cleaning up a particular mess.
The vacuum doesn’t have a convenient way to store the cord. The cord is long and heavy, but it is also heavy duty so it won’t be ruined by someone pushing a different vacuum cleaner over it.
Summary
This commercial vacuum cleaner is an excellent choice for establishments full of tile and hardwood floors that want to go green. It is a good choice for those who need to spot clean large public areas. It is a no-go for pet owners with thick carpets.
