This would be a 120V male to 30A (TT-30R) female adapter.
Plug the 120V end into any 120V socket, close to where your RV is parked outside your home. You can then plug your 30A RV cord into the other end with a 30A female fitting. Using a 15A or 20A house electrical circuit to supply a 30A RV will, however, have its limitations.
The RV electrical system is designed for a 30A supply. If you have a fairly large RV air conditioner, this may use a lot of power. Since the house outlet you’re using is only 20A (possibly 15A), it will trip the breaker when you exceed the maximum current that the circuit can handle. When your RV air conditioner and refrigerator are being used simultaneously, there’s a good chance that the breaker inside your home will trip, when you try use other appliances as well.
It’s not a big deal, it just be a little inconvenient. You’ll need to reset the breaker on your home electrical panel and adjust your electricity load in the RV to what is available. At least you still have AC power in your RV, it’s obviously more convenient to use a 30A outlet if you are able to, but not essential.
Why Would You Want to Use Your House Electrical System to Power Your RV?
Having your RV standing in the yard, unused, is okay but it’s advisable to keep some appliances, like refrigerators, powered up even when your RV is not in use. There can be some other advantages to having a powered RV, with an electrical supply, at home.
